This journal entry is about a week late, but as the title says, I'm attempting to come out of an unintended retirement for a second time.  Started to draw again around Halloween and hopefully for much longer than last time (i think it only lasted a little over a year).  It's been almost five years I think since I last drew on a regular basis.  DeviantArt seems to have died down a little since I was on here last.  It's cool though.  To me, this isn't so much about popularity or even to make money.  Although either or both would be nice;-)  It's about doing what I have always loved since I can remember.  Hopefully in the near future, I'll have

Finally got around to playing with Cintiq Hybrid I got for Xmas.  A friend had been trying to convince me to go 100% digital for a while.  I've just started but have to admit I'm having the same problem with the Cintiq as I did with my Intous:  For obvious reasons, the Cintiq is hundreds of times better, but it still doesn't feel natural!   I think it's the way the pen feels on the tablet itself.  It feels too "slick", so a lot of my lines tend to curve towards the end.  Coloring with it on the other hand is amazing.  I've never been a good colorist, but I've also never really tried to improve as I've always done so just to highlight my line

In a Rut

Haven't been drawing too much lately.  Many, many reasons ranging from lack of time, stress, and lack of needed material/mediums.  But anyways, been primarily doing quick drawings and sketches and not posting most if any of em.  Still trying to rediscover my "stroke" after such a long time of not drawing (~4 years).  Not too happy with what I've been putting out, but luckily there are bits and pieces of each drawing that I do like. One thing, I'd like to say though:  I feel not enough people share their practice/unfinished pieces.  I really like seeing the Deviations where the artist shows the progress because you get to see the process as a
